Offering Bowl at the Jokang Monastery, Lhasa, Tibet, September 2010 © Marissa Roth
When pilgrims visit monasteries to pray, they leave offerings: from yak butter and grains of rice, to cash. Small denominations of Yuan are sometimes tucked into corners of glass cases housing Buddhas, or they are dropped into large vats of water. Marissa took this photograph on her most recent trip to Tibet in 2010 - a bright Gerber daisy floating above these tokens of devotion.
