Circling Back
Santa Monica, CA January 30, 2014 © Marissa Roth
Circling back to go forward
To land and fly again
A welcome moment of stillness
As projects finish and blank canvases await
Time finally to revisit old letters, old ideas, old photographs
Remember friends gone
Fragments of time and chapters puzzle into a clear form
The redrawing of familiar lines reinforces foundations
Renewing vision and direction
The present presents itself a new chapter.

Vermillion Sky
There's something very reassuring about a beautiful sunset.
Seeing the expanse of sky
The wondrous colors
The evidence of the rotation of the earth
The light dripping and drifting from hue to hue
Reflects life itself and the wonder of it
That we are here to behold it.
