Lalo Schifrin

I was on assignment last Thursday for SoFilm, a French Magazine that covers the film world. A reporter/editor Brieux Ferot and I went to the Beverly Hills home of Lalo Schifrin, to both interview and photograph the 80 year-old composer, who still considers himself a rebel. The home was originally built by Groucho Marx in 1928, and purchased by Schifrin directly from Marx in the 1960's. It was fun visiting old Hollywood and the old hood! Brieux kindly took this souvenir photo!

I was asked to give a talk and show images from my Hollywood portfolio yesterday, for the Camerawomen Los Angeles organization, and this image of Brad Pitt and his mom taken at the party for the Los Angeles premiere for "Interview with the Vampire" in 1994, was in the presentation. It was quite startling in a way, to revisit these images, as I have been so focused on women who survived war these past handful of years. It almost feels like someone else did this work...
